Breast Ironing in Cameroon

One out of four females get their breasts ironed by their mother or by another family member. This practice started because many of the young girls of the African Country of Cameroon were getting pregnant and parents wanted to stop this. It is also done to prevent sexual assault. The procedure is meant to keep the young girls breasts from growing, and to be seen as unattractive to males. This is extremely painful since hot stones are used to press the girls breasts down.
